Use

How does it work in summary?

Before any first booking, the customer must read the General Terms and Conditions and complete/sign the membership contract for the GetLux Premium Product rental service.

Rentals are offered for periods of 7 to 14 days. The date chosen for the first day of booking/rental must always take into account preparation, shipping and transport times, i.e. 4 days.
Rental bookings during the current month (less than 30 days) must be paid in full at the time of booking.

The security deposit will be blocked 48 hours before the first day of booking/rental through a separate transaction via the customer account (a message will be sent to the customer beforehand).

Reservations are only valid for a maximum of 3 months in advance.

A deposit of CHF 50.00 (for rentals up to CHF 150.00) or CHF 100.00 (for other packages) will be required for any reservation more than 30 days in advance.

The balance is due 48 hours before the first day of the reservation/rental, payable via the customer account (Stripe – reservation balance payment). The security deposit will be held at the same time through a separate transaction, also via the customer account (a reminder message will be sent to the customer).

Any request for extension must be sent to GetLux by email, 72 hours before the last day of rental.
It is possible to extend the rental for a maximum of 7 days, subject to product availability on the desired dates.

Urgent bookings must be requested in writing, and this request must be validated before booking to check if the usual waiting period (4 days) can be reduced.

Are the items rented in the condition mentioned on the website and are the photos true to reality?

Yes, the images are true to life. Any changes in status will be updated in the descriptions.
The customer may request additional photos in case of a change in condition before making a reservation. For further information, please refer to sections 3 and 4 of the General Terms and Conditions.

Can we have some additional photos?

Yes, additional photos are available upon request, only before booking.
No claims regarding the condition of items will be accepted after booking.

What precautions should be taken during the rental period?

Please refer to the CGL point 6.7.

Can the rental period be extended?

Yes, it is possible to extend the rental for a maximum of 7 days, subject to product availability on the desired dates.

Any request for extension must be made in writing 72 hours before the last day of the current rental period.

Is it possible to modify the chosen model?

Yes, it is possible to modify the reserved model up to 7 days before the first day of booking/rental.

Can a reservation be cancelled?

Yes, cancellation of the reservation is possible up to 7 days before the first day of the reservation, subject to deduction of administrative fees (see CGL point 8).

If I am dissatisfied, can I request a return and a refund?

Please refer to the CGL points 8, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.

Why is a security deposit required?

A security deposit (the amount is indicated on the website for each item) will be temporarily blocked on the customer's credit card 48 hours before the first day of booking/rental, and throughout the rental period, as a guarantee.

When is the deposit released?

Within 2 to 3 days after the return and validation of the condition of the rented item.

Prices and payment methods

Prices are inclusive of VAT and include packaging costs, round-trip transport, dry cleaning for dresses/textiles and normal wear and tear of the product.

Secure payment accepted by: Visa / Mastercard only.

Insurance

Who provides insurance coverage during the rental period?

GetLux covers insurance during transport as well as for normal wear and tear during the rental period.

The item remains the property of GetLux at all times, but is under the full responsibility of the customer during the rental period in case of theft, loss, damage or soiling.

Transportation

Which company provides the transport services and how does it work?

Deliveries are available only in Switzerland and the round-trip transport price is included in the rental price.

Single carrier: DPD Switzerland – https://www.dpd.com/ch/fr/
Delivery time: 1 to 2 days (deliveries made only on working days).

A tracking number is provided to guarantee the traceability of the package at all times.

The package will only be delivered upon signature.

How do delivery and returns work?

Delivery is announced by DPD via message and is made to the customer's home; other options are available during working days.

The customer agrees to collect the package within 24 hours of the delivery notification.

The return must be made by dropping off the parcel at a DPD Pickup Parcelshop (https://www.dpd.com/ch/fr/dpd-pickup-parcelshop/)
only with the return label provided, from Monday to Saturday during the opening hours of the chosen DPD Pickup Parcelshop.

The original packaging must be used for the return: cardboard box, protective paper, bag/belt pouch.
You will need extra adhesive for closing the box.

The return must be made the day after the last day of booking/rental, i.e. within 24 hours at the latest, otherwise additional charges will apply (see CGL point 6.6).
