These General Terms and Conditions define the terms and conditions for renting luxury items offered on the website www.GetLux.ch.

- Product description
The products offered are authentic luxury items: bags, dresses, accessories and textiles.
Each item has a brief or longer description and the photos correspond to the products offered for rent.
However, the quality and lighting of some photos may differ from reality depending on the item, mainly regarding the intensity of the colors.
The products offered are: either like new, in very good condition or in good condition.
The dimensions are taken with care, however they may differ by 1 to 2 cm depending on the item.
For dresses, the sizes indicated on the labels may differ from those stated on the website, particularly due to the origin (UK/IT/EU sizes, for example). Furthermore, some luxury brand sizes do not correspond to standard sizing. Composition labels may be omitted from some dresses for comfort reasons.
It is important to refer to the dimensions mentioned on the site and to compare them with a dress/blouse/sweatshirt/jeans/jacket (depending on the item you wish to reserve) that you already own before making any reservation.
- Services offered
The rental company GetLux guarantees the authenticity of all items offered for rent. Products are rented in the condition described above; therefore, the vast majority of items show normal signs of use and wear, which should be taken into account before renting. Additional photos can be requested only before booking. No claims regarding the condition of items will be accepted after booking.
GetLux will handle the necessary inspection and cleaning of each product after use and will update the item status on the website as needed. Photos will also be available upon request only, following any change in condition.
The platform is required to ship the item ordered by the customer to the address indicated on the order and to make it available for use from the first day of reservation.
The delivery day is, in principle, the first day of rental/reservation.
The platform strives to accommodate customer delivery preferences, but cannot guarantee the availability of a particular item on a specific date or for a specific period. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, GetLux will notify the customer as soon as possible of any changes.
GetLux reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. All modifications will take effect upon publication of the new terms and conditions on the website.
- Conditions of Access to the Rental Service
The user must:
- To be of legal age
- Complete and sign the membership agreement before your first booking
- Provide a valid form of identification
- Having a valid credit card and a credit limit sufficient to cover the required deposits
- Update your address or other relevant account information before each order, if necessary.
- Accept these General Terms and Conditions before making any reservation
GetLux reserves the right to refuse a booking in case of suspected fraud, theft or risk of damage to the products.
- Rental and booking terms and conditions
6.1 Rental Period
The duration is defined according to the product categories at the time of booking/order, according to the following availability: 7 days or 14 days.
6.2 Security Deposit
A security deposit (the amount is indicated on the website for each item), based on the purchase value of the product, must be blocked (temporarily) on the customer's credit card 48 hours before the first day of booking/rental and for the entire duration of the rental as a guarantee.
The customer agrees to pay the security deposit separately from the reservation. Without a security deposit, the order will not be shipped and will be cancelled within 24 hours.
In the event of cancellation of order due to non-honourable deposit, the amount of the rental (or balance paid) will not be refunded to compensate for the damage caused.
A new blocking request will be requested in the event of premature release (before the end of the rental period) of the deposit by the client's credit institution.
The security deposit may be used to cover the following potential expenses:
- Late return (additional charges will be applied from the first day of delay – the customer has 24 hours to make the return)
- Potential damage & soiling (to be defined on a case-by-case basis)
- Special cleaning
- Loss/theft/return not completed after 5 days
6.3 Release of the security deposit
- Within 2 to 3 days after return and validation of the condition of the rented item
6.4 Reservation/Extension
- The date chosen for the first booking date must take into account preparation/shipping and transport times, namely 4 working days.
- Rental requests during the current month (less than 30 days in advance) must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- The security deposit will be held 48 hours before the first day of booking/rental via a separate transaction through the customer account (a message will be sent to the customer beforehand).
- Reservations are only valid for a maximum of 3 months in advance.
- A deposit of CHF 50.00 (for rentals up to CHF 150.00) to CHF 100.00 (for other packages) will be required for any reservation made more than 30 days in advance.
- The balance will be due 48 hours before the first day of booking/rental by payment via the customer account (Stripe – booking balance payment) and the security deposit will be blocked at the same time via a 2nd separate transaction also via the customer account (a message will be sent to the customer as a reminder)
- Any request for an extension must be sent to GetLux by email 72 hours before the last day of the rental. It is possible to extend the rental for a maximum of 7 days, subject to product availability on the desired dates.
- Urgent bookings must be requested in writing and validated before booking to see if the usual waiting times can be reduced (usual waiting times are 4 working days).
6.5 Delivery & Returns
- The standard preparation/shipping time is 24 to 48 hours.
- The shipping/delivery time is 24 to 48 hours.
- Please allow 4 business days before blocking your first booking/rental day.
- Delivery is made to the customer's home (other options available to be defined) and requires a signature upon delivery.
- The return must be made the day after the last day of rental, i.e. within 24 hours of the last day of rental, from Monday to Saturday.
6.6 Delayed Return
Any delay will be charged from the 1ster one day late.
A surcharge of 20 % on the rental value will be charged from the 1ster one day late.
Beyond 5 days and without valid justification, the product will be considered as not returned and will be charged at the purchase price (without deduction of the rental value and the days of delay retained).
A formal notice will be sent to the client to inform them of the total amount of the damages.
6.7 Use & Maintenance
The client agrees to:
- Please receive the item within 24 hours of notification from the carrier.
- Use the item with care and caution
- Avoid all contact of the rented product with smoke (especially bags/belts), cosmetics, makeup, pens/markers, water and perfume (especially bags/belts)
- Do not iron or wash dresses/textiles before or *after use (laundry service is included in the price)
- Do not attempt repair or cleaning
- Do not lend or sublet the product, pledge it, or assign it as security.
- Do not sell the product
- Do not alter the appearance of the item in any way.
- Contact GetLux immediately if you encounter any problems.
- Provide photos of any damage
- Accepting GetLux's general terms and conditions as a rental agreement with each order
*One wash is permitted for textiles included in a 14-day rental (except for the following items: Balenciaga blouse and Fendi jacket) if conditions allow for a "delicate" wash and only if a second use is desired (laundry service is included in the price). The item must be washed alone and inside out. Gentle ironing at an appropriate temperature is also permitted for textiles, except for those mentioned above. A second wash is not permitted after multiple uses. The item must be returned unwashed and in its original condition.
- Prices and Payment
- Prices are inclusive of VAT and include packaging costs, round-trip shipping, dry cleaning for dresses/textiles, and normal wear and tear.
- Secure payment via Visa/Mastercard only
- The rental website may change prices at any time (except for confirmed orders).
- Cancellation, postponement or return request policy
- Cancellation is possible for reservations made up to 7 days before the first day of the reservation/rental, subject to a deduction of CHF 9.80 for bank and administrative fees from the deposit amount (either CHF 50.00 or CHF 100.00 depending on the item reserved) or from the full rental price if the reservation is made more than 30 days in advance.
- Refund of the balance via the original payment method only
- After the 7-day period, the reservation amount will be due and non-refundable in case of cancellation.
- A postponement is possible, free of charge, up to 7 days before the first day of rental/reservation
- After the 7-day period, the postponement will be subject to a surcharge based on the rental value (a surcharge of 20 % of the rental price is to be expected).
8.1 Return request, valid only for dress rentals
- In case of dissatisfaction (size/quality) with a dress rental, a credit note, less the cost of round-trip shipping, dry cleaning, bank fees, and administrative fees, will be issued only after a written return request.
- The dress must be returned within 24 hours of receipt, without having been worn.
- The credit note will be confirmed after receipt and inspection of the returned dress and can be used within 1 year.
8.2 Right of Withdrawal
No right of withdrawal is granted except in exceptional cases of force majeure.
GetLux reserves the right not to grant a right of withdrawal in the event of a repeat offense.
8.3 Refund Request
No refunds will be issued for rentals of bags, dresses, accessories, and textiles. In exceptional circumstances of force majeure, a credit note will be issued, subject to deduction of administrative and bank fees (depending on the order status). If shipping has already been completed, the round-trip shipping cost will also be deducted, and the credit note will be issued only after receipt and inspection of the returned product, provided the customer returns it within 24 hours of receipt.
- Insurance/Liability & Damages
9.1 Insurance
GetLux covers insurance during transport as well as for normal wear and tear during the rental period.
The item remains the property of GetLux at all times but will be under the full responsibility of the customer during the entire rental period in case of theft/loss/damage/soiling.
9.2 Fees applied in case of damage/soiling/theft/loss/non-return
According to the following scale (luxury benchmark):

- Shipping & Return Policy
Deliveries are available in Switzerland only.

- Delivery time: 1 to 2 days, delivery only on business days
- A tracking number will be provided for tracking the package at all times.
- Signature required
- The cost of round-trip transportation is included in the rental price.
- Delivery to the customer's home address or other available options via DPD on weekdays only

10.1 Delivery delays/delays
The rental platform has no control over delays or cancellations during shipping, which is why the customer cannot claim damages in this regard. If a package is missing, the customer must immediately inform the rental platform so that a tracking request can be initiated.
The delivery times indicated by GetLux are only indicative. Delivery times may vary, and the rental service reserves the right to deliver even after the stated delivery times have expired. The customer is not entitled to refuse delivery due to a delay.
An adjustment will be applied to the rental time in the event of late delivery caused by GetLux or the carrier.
This adjustment will not be applied in the event of late delivery caused by the customer.
The customer must receive the package within 24 hours of the carrier's delivery notification.
The customer must inform GetLux before shipment if the reserved item absolutely must arrive by a specific date for a particular event so that arrangements can be made in advance for transport (possibly departing 1 or 2 days prior). Without prior notification from the customer, GetLux will not be held responsible for any delivery delays in this situation.
- Return rented item
- Returns via DPD Switzerland only; a return label will be provided.
- Original packaging must be used for the return, namely: cardboard box and protective paper, bag/belt pouch
- The return must be made the day after the last day of the reservation/rental, i.e., no later than 24 hours.

10.3 Lost Package
Immediate notification to GetLux for → procedure with the carrier
- Force Majeure
In the event of unforeseen external events (such as, for example, natural events, public or political unrest, unforeseen administrative or legal obligations, major power outages, transport difficulties, major and unforeseen disruptions to operations, pandemics, natural disasters, accidents, labor disputes) which significantly hinder or make impossible the performance of the service, GetLux reserves the right to cancel any order and must inform the customer immediately.
The rental platform is also entitled to postpone the performance of its services for the duration of the impediment and a reasonable start-up period. It must resume service as soon as the impediment ceases and inform the client beforehand. The parties will make every effort in good faith to mitigate the effects of any force majeure event as much as possible.
- Data protection
The parties undertake to comply with the provisions of Swiss data protection legislation and to effectively protect the generated data against any unauthorized access by third parties.
The rental platform is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and security of the personal data collected. GetLux implements all appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect customer data against unauthorized access.
- Applicable law and jurisdiction
Contractual disputes are adjudicated by the court of the client's domicile (for complaints from the client) or that of the defendant's domicile (for complaints from the landlord), unless otherwise provided by law.
